Q. What was the first coin or NFT you bought? Litecoin in 2016

Q. If you were given $1k, what coin or NFT would you be buying more of? Bitcoin, Ether and Cardano

Q. Any new crypto, NFT projects or artists you are excited for? I love seeing diversity reflected in NFT offerings. I’ve been following Black is Beautiful - an African-American NFT project that gives a portion of its proceeds to HBCUs and The Royals NFT - a project showcasing African culture.

Q. What is a piece of advice you would like to give to others that are just starting out? I was told to only invest with money I didn’t care to lose. I don’t like to lose money, so I used to buy crypto using money I would have spent on nights out.  Looking back I’m glad I did it this way - I made some serious gains on money I would have used for shopping or going out!

I would advise people to not fall into a hype trap. Don’t buy something because everyone else is buying it. If you do your research + follow potential projects closely you will likely be an early follower of something before the hype gets around.

Q. Fav influencer that we should follow? I really like @MishaDaVinci and her tweets on WEB3 - I’m interested in learning more and her resources are super helpful!

Q. Anything else happening with your own project that our community should know about?
I am working on a project and need to gather information on black/brown/women founded crypto companies or projects. If you know of anyone please email me! janay@progresschamber.org
